As a valued member of our credit union, we provide you with FREE access to money management and financial education services. We have teamed up with Accel, a financial education and counseling program designed exclusively for credit unions with members like you in mind. You will receive free, impartial advice from experienced, professional counselors with the goal of helping you reach your financial goals.
Accel counselors are here to help you move forward in your financial life. Whether you need to put a budget together, review your credit report, manage some burdensome debt or get help with increasing your savings or buying your first home, a counselor is ready for your call.
Financial counselors are to assist you Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (EST), Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. by calling 1-877-33ACCEL (332-2235) or visit them on the web at: Members Financial Counseling
The program provides credit report counseling to assist you in understanding your personal credit report and credit score. Additionally, you can get a copy of your personal credit report from Accel for a nominal fee.
Working with you, an Accel financial counselor will contact your creditors to negotiate concessions and/or work out loan payment agreements. Typically, credit card companies will agree to lower rates, eliminate fees, and cease collection activity.
BudgetSmart is a one-of-a-kind budgeting program that helps users plan and track how they spend and save their money.
This easy-to-use software tool uses simple graphics and bar charts to help you manage money more effectively. You can use the program to establish a budget, track spending habits, view tips for improving areas of overspending (or inadequate saving), and experiment with "what if'" scenarios to determine how a major purchase or change in income would impact your budget.
